Add a blog to your Claude Code site

Yes, Claude Code can add a blog to your site and publish to it. Log in with the Mentionwell CLI, have Claude Code add a /blog route from the setup prompt, then add the Mentionwell MCP server. From then on, you ask for a post in the terminal and it goes live.

Set it up in three steps

Sign up and set up your site from the terminal. Login opens your browser, signs you up if you are new, and stores a token on your machine. No key to paste anywhere. Onboard then reads your site, learns the brand, plans articles, and starts your first one. New accounts get a 14-day trial with one real article, no card.

Let Claude Code add the blog. In the app, open Connect, choose “In my code editor or terminal”, and paste the setup prompt into Claude Code with your project open. The agent adds a /blog route that reads posts from the Mentionwell Reader API. Prefer to do the wiring yourself? Run the CLI in the project: it detects your framework, syncs env vars, and verifies delivery.

How do I set it up from Claude Code?

Run npx mentionwell-cli login, paste the setup prompt from the Connect screen into Claude Code in your site's repo so it adds the /blog route, and add the mentionwell-mcp-account server to your project's .mcp.json. The config needs no key.

Which site does it publish to?

The one you name, by domain or slug. From inside a repo, the MCP server can also match the site by the repository's git remote, so you rarely have to say which site you mean.

Do I need a CMS?

No. Mentionwell stores and serves the articles. Your site only needs a /blog page that reads them, and your AI builder writes that page for you from the setup prompt.

What does it cost to try?

Nothing. Every new account gets a 14-day trial with one real article written for your site (it starts as soon as setup finishes), plus a few AI visibility checks. No card. After 14 days you stay on the Free plan, which still writes 1 article a month.
