Add a blog to your Base44 site

Set it up in three steps

1. Sign up free and add your domain. Create an account and enter your app's address. Mentionwell reads the site to learn what you sell and who it is for. No card, and the 14-day trial includes one real article.
2. Paste the setup prompt into Base44. In the app, open Connect, choose “In a chat on a website”, and copy the setup prompt. Paste it into the Base44 chat for your app. Ask Base44 to make the Mentionwell Reader API call from a backend function, so the key in the prompt stays on the server, and to add a /blog page plus an article page.
3. Publish and check /blog. Publish the app, open yoursite.com/blog, and click into the first article. New articles show up there on their own after that.

Good to know

• Base44 is not one of the builders named on the Connect screen. The chat prompt is generic, so the same path applies, but we have not written a Base44-specific recipe.
• The setup prompt contains a server-side API key. If your Base44 app cannot run backend functions, do not let the builder put the key in page code. Email admin@mentionwell.com and we will help you find another path.
• Base44 pages render in the browser. Google renders JavaScript, but many AI crawlers do not, so articles on a client-rendered page are easier for Google to see than for ChatGPT or Claude.

Questions

Does Mentionwell work with Base44?

The chat-builder path works the same way: paste the setup prompt and Base44 builds the /blog page. Base44 is not listed by name in the app yet, and the Reader API key needs to live in a backend function, not in page code.

Do I need a CMS?

No. Mentionwell stores and serves the articles. Your site only needs a /blog page that reads them, and your AI builder writes that page for you from the setup prompt.

Can I read and edit posts before they go out?

Yes. Every article lives in the Mentionwell dashboard, where you can read it, edit it, and change what gets written next. Your /blog page shows whatever is published there.

What does it cost to try?

Nothing. Every new account gets a 14-day trial with one real article written for your site (it starts as soon as setup finishes), plus a few AI visibility checks. No card. After 14 days you stay on the Free plan, which still writes 1 article a month. Builder is $24/month ($19/month billed yearly) for 5 articles, a weekly AI search check, and the CLI and MCP for your coding agent. Starter is $79/month for 15 articles.
