What does the free AI visibility check do?
It asks ChatGPT (with web search on) the exact question you enter, then reads the answer the same way the Mentionwell dashboard does. You see whether the answer recommended you, only named you, only cited your site as a source, or left you out, plus who it recommended instead and the sentence that shows it.
Is a citation the same as a recommendation?
No. A citation means ChatGPT linked one of your pages as a source. A recommendation means the answer itself told the reader to pick you. The check reports them separately and never counts a citation as a win.
Why only one question and one engine?

What do you store?
