When direct Shopify push ships, you'll connect with a custom app and the write_content scope, and Mentionwell will write posts into the /blogs/{id}/articles endpoint with featured images, tags, and meta — your storefront theme renders them with whatever blog template you already use. Today you can already reach Shopify via the signed-webhook adapter path.

How it works

  1. Install the Mentionwell custom app in your Shopify Admin.
  2. Pick the blog (most stores have one — “News”). Mentionwell creates new ones if needed.
  3. Map tags + categories to Mentionwell content clusters.
  4. Set a publish cadence. The Auto Agent ships on the days/UTC hours you choose.

What gets written into Shopify

  • Title, handle (slug), HTML body, excerpt.
  • Featured image (uploaded to Files; alt text included).
  • Tags + blog assignment.
  • SEO title + meta description (theme-dependent).
  • Author (the Mentionwell-mapped user; configurable per push).
